Early Friday morning , a SUV crashed into the New Beginnings Mission on Nebraska Avenue causing extensive structural damage to the building.  The Mission currently houses 29 formerly homeless men, women and veterans.  These are formerly displaced persons transitioning into productive members of society. 

Today's crash was severe causing structural damage to the Mission. The City of Tampa was forced to condemn part of the building due to safety purposes. New Beginnings is scrambling to re-locate a number of the residents. These individuals need to have a safe environment as to not displace them, nor disrupt their rebuilding efforts.

The extensive damage to the building affects a load bearing wall, the roof and a group of electrical panels and fixtures.  The Mission has lost several refrigerators, a large amount of food and some clients' personal belongings.

New Beginnings is a non-profit and as such relies on donations and community support. It is important at this time that the community come together to rally around this re-building and to continue to support these vital services.

All funds donated will be used exclusively to help us re-build and continue providing high quality services to the less fortunate in our community.
