My Post-Grad Jumpstart

My name is Ramy Ahmed, I’m a newly-minted college graduate from The George Washington University, and I need your help. I just graduated from the GWU School of Business and accepted a position with CEB as a Business Development Associate, but I need help transitioning from Newark, NJ to Arlington, VA.
I’m moving into my first apartment on June 1st, and I start my new job on June 5th. I expect my first paycheck on June 30th, but until I can stand on my own two feet, I am appealing to your generosity.
I don’t normally seek out help. Just this once, I have really felt the stress of trying to meet deadlines and make payments. I want to start my job with focus and intent, not having to worry about what I’m going to eat that day or what I’m going to wear the next.
Right now, I need money for groceries. I need professional attire: shirts, ties and shoes. A dresser, a desk, pots and pans.
I’ve already paid the security deposit and first month’s rent for my apartment, but will have to come up with $500 for the rest of June’s rent. I maxed out a credit card to buy a bed, but I could really use your help for the rest. Any donation of any amount would be so welcome.
I am beginning a new chapter in my life, and I have a clear vision of what I will become in the near future. I worry that starting off on the wrong foot could hinder my growth and professional success in the first few months at my new job.
I don’t have anywhere else to turn. I’m turning to you for a reason.
Please help me reach reach my goal of $2,500.00 by June 1st.
Your donations will go to very real, very tangible things to help me on the road to success.
$100.00 – Professional attire
$50.00 – Groceries for one week
$25.00 – Pots and Pans
$10.00 – Transportation for a week
I’m so excited to begin my career and I want to thank you so much for your help in making this next step in my life possible.
Sincerely,
Ramy Ahmed
