Neurological vet for Hooch
We adopted Hooch from Noah's Ark Rescue on Thanksgiving day 2015. About a month ago we noticed he was changing. He began stumbling around and bumping into door frames. Then he started tripping down the steps, falling out of his bed, (we have a twin bed in our living room for them) and it continues to get worse... We took him to the vet, Dr. Rockwell, and she referred us to a neurological vet in Charleston. The neurological vet believes he has frontal brain damage from a stroke, tumor or an infection. He needs an MRI, blood work and misc test for a complete and correct diagnosis. The cost for everything she estimated is around $5000. The initial treatment is antibiotics and Prednisone first to see if they help. Hooch has had a very hard life and deserves, like every animal, to have the best life he can. This treatment is the only way to save his life.
