DUDLEY ROAD HOSPITAL NETBALL CLUB
FUND RAISING
We are a young, progressive and fully inclusive netball club based in Birmingham. We run teams from under 9 to open age, including teams for those returning to sport after a break. Our expansion in the last few years has been rapid and we now need to expand our club’s infrastructure to continue to deliver high quality coaching and events for girls and women.
Our club raises all of its own funds, but has been fortunate to have a few dedicated organisations who have supported us through our infant years as a club. As we embark on the next stages of our expansion, we are launching a new website to keep our members up-to-date with the busy programme of matches, tournaments, training and summer camps.
We are a Netball England Silver Cap accredited club, pushing to improve our accreditation to ultimately Gold Cap.
We have one adult team and two junior teams playing in the Birmingham and Intermediate Netball Leagues. Playing and practising 44 weeks of the year, the club has achieved many awards with the junior under 14's achieving winners and runners up in their division during 2018 season.
To continue this growth will require greater investment in the club, to increase equipment for training and matches, with the younger section requiring different equipment to the Junior and Senior sections. This growth has also increased the running costs for us in terms of training and match facilities, however, the facilities available to us at Hillcrest School allow us to hire a large sports hall.
Of course it goes without say that without the goodwill of our volunteers the club would not exist. Volunteers need to be trained and well versed in both the legal and professional requirements of our sport.
Could you please sponsor us and help to raise funds for our club.
