Nepal Communities - Medical Project:
I am a member of a small team of Salesforce CRM software consultants that has been working with the medical industry teams in the UK, USA and Nepal to design and deploy a solution in Salesforce’s Health & Life Sciences Cloud Platform, leveraging Service Cloud and Community Cloud.
The Cloud based solution, aimed to provide essential medical care by automating medical services and digitizing medical records, will be deployed in the remote health posts of the Everest Region of Nepal during October/2019. The entire Salesforce team involved in this project is providing pro bono skills to design the platform. Some members will fund their own trips to the Everest Region of Nepal and go on an expedition during October/2019. Their goal will be to deploy the designed solution to the local Sherpa communities and train the health care workers at Khunde Hospital. The team will also be donating laptops and computer equipment to enable the remote health posts (yes, they have Wi-Fi) to access the solution in the Cloud. This project will be innovative and ground breaking, one which will have a deep positive impact on the lives of the Sherpa people of the Everest Region, especially important after the losses the Everest Region has endured from the April/2015 earthquake which killed ~9000 people and injured ~22000 people across Nepal.
In the spirit of Salesforce’s 1-1-1 model of integrated philanthropy, Salesforce as a benefactor, has already donated all the required software licenses for this worthy cause. Furthermore, Salesforce has also agreed to match dollar for dollar the total monetary contributions our team collects for the medical and educational communities’ projects. I am reaching out to request you to donate some essential funds towards the above mentioned cause. Although we recommend donations starting at US $25, no amount is too big or too small as every bit helps. Your valuable donations will help our team purchase and invest the essential computer equipment required to access the Cloud based solution.
