Nene's Road to Recovery

On Wednesday 23 May 2018 Janine "Nene" experienced a stroke of the spinal cord, with pockets of blood throughout her spinal cord as well as a subarachnoid hemorrhage (Brain bleed). Her treating team have never seen this type of damage before making her even more unique. The damage to her spinal cord is significant and has left her paralyzed from the chest down. If the damage was even further up she would have been a quadriplegic . 

This news has come has a massive shock to all  those that love Nene. She has ALWAYS been there for everyone.  Volunteering, cooking meals for others, babysitting her grandkids, having an open door policy for all she comes in contact with. Now it is time for us to give back to Nene after all the years she has selflessly given to others. 

Nene is expected to be in hospital for several months whilst she works towards the ultimate goal of going home. 

Parking alone is costing Pip (Philip - Nenes husband) $84/ week and that is just the beginning of the expenses. 

As Nene gets closer to going home additional funds will be needed to ensure that their home is set up as well as possible for them as well as the expected ongoing expenses associated with access to home help and services.
