Nelstina's Dream Wedding

As most of you know I proposed to my long time girlfriend and longer time crush recently. But numerous circumstances are leading to a bit of a time crunch as far as the wedding goes. As you know, Krisse's diagnosis was terminal, and despite the best efforts of her doctors, things aren't going as well as we hoped. We have just about two months to lock everything down. We hope to be married December 28th 2014, which both leaves little time to save and purchase everything needed for a wedding. We have some help from family but don't want to leave them on the hook for everything. The economy the way it is, my commission checks have been meager at best and the cost of having cancer and receiving any kind of treatment is disgusting and hardly bearable even with state help. (What happened to the care in healthcare?) So we've had both little time, and little resources to save for a proper wedding.

Since her diagnosis she's been actively attacking her bucket list, and this is a big one. It's one to knock off my list as well. This year has been an absolute roller coaster for both of us and I want to give the woman of my dreams, her dream wedding. The more money we raise the more people we can have join us in an amazing celebration. It's not often two baker metal head hockey fans find love in this world so why not help our dream become a reality? There's so many good causes you could spend your money on, I understand this may be low on the totem pole as far as importance, it may even sound a little vain. But I know most of us at one point said to someone we love that we would do anything for them. And I would do anything for Krisse. Every little bit helps and feel free to share as much as you care to. Thank you very much for reading this far, and if you have any questions feel free to message me.

IT'S GO TIME, We've been super busy with holiday stuff and wedding stuff so i haven't been able to post an update in awhile. (crazy holiday hours, moving spaces all that fun stuff). BUT Here's a little bit of what's going on. Our friend Noucha was talking to Daryl Evans and told him about Krisse and he jumped at the chance to do something for her, so he got one of Pekka's sticks and had the preds sign it! HOW COOL IS THAT? On a recent trip to SJ to watch the preds take on the sharts they happened to be staying at the same hotel (totally not on purpose....i think....) and she got to meet more of the team! You can read more about her hockey adventures here Rehearsals went well, but the venue had something going on this morning so it's going to be a mad dash once the hall opens up for us to set everything up. But i wanted to post an update thank everyone who donated to our wedding to check off another item on my wonderful wife's bucket list. I know the timing was super short, and it was right before the holidays but we're seriously floored by the support of our friends and strangers who were touched by Krisse's story. We have an awesome day with awesome friends and awesome food and awesome music to look forward to thanks to you. I really can't express my, our gratitude enough to everyone who made this possible. Today i get to marry the woman of my dreams and celebrate with more people because of all your help. Cheers to you all.

We're getting REALLY close to our goal! We're still trying to lock down a band to close the reception. (More e-mails going out tonight!) Today we took our engagement photos, hockey themed of course. Below you can see the finished mask Mr. Mike Fisher of Maxflo industries did for Christina. It was her brain baby and I commissioned it for her birthday with some help from the Cobra Venom dudes, my family, mike and his sponsors we made her sketch a reality! The metal community has be incredibly huge and equally huge has been the hockey community. There's some shared lines there of course, but check out these photos! Special thanks to Jon Patrick Hyde and Amber Lynn for making the trek out to Hellheim studios for the engagement shots. We're almost there! Thank you everyone who's donated and shared. The massive outpour of support is truly humbling. Cheers!

We just hit 3k! I can't believe the support we're getting, it's absolutely unreal. We locked down a venue and a caterer so the official date will be December 28th 2014! I messed up the paypal link, so if you donated via paypal and it says "unclaimed" cancel and resend to the new address,(thanks to Paul for bringing that to my attention) I'll put the address on the Facebook post of it, (GFM won't let me do e mails in messages) to all the donors and sharers I can't even begin to thank you!
