On Thursday November 19th, the life of Neil Rentuma, a man who was a father, a son, a brother and a friend, ended without warning.
In the wake of his death, he has left a void that will never be filled. Any and everyone who knew Neil, will certainly miss him for the rest of their lives. But the people that will be affected most are the people he brought into this world and are his true legacy. His children...
His 3 daughters, Gabby, Jett and Rowan shared that long night that we all must go through in the face of losing a loved one. In their case it was much to early. While they deal with losing a father at such an
early age. The last thing they need to be worrying about is how to afford taking care of his arrangements.
Gabby lives in Des Moines with her grandparents while Jett and Rowan live in Texas with their mother Shannon. Neil was living and working in Chicago at the time of his death. Gabby's grandparents are stepping up to help pull things together and give Neil his final resting place. He will be cremated in Chicago and Gabby will bring his remains back to Des Moines. It will require a lot of travel, time and most of all expense.
With the holidays fast approaching, this would be a huge burden on them all. Not to mention they will no longer have any financial contribution coming from Neil. I know Neil has blessed so many of us with his heart, smile, laughter and life that we can pull together to help his amazing family out. As I said, the holiday’s are coming and there’s no better cause I can think of than to show our compassion and help these beautiful people make it through this trying time in their lives.
I know we have plenty of friends and family that love Neil and would give anything to have him here for one more day to shower him with love if we had the chance. But since that’s not possible, lets show an outpouring of love for him by giving his family peace of mind and take care of him the way he would for any of us!
