Nederland Babe Ruth World Series

Nederland Babe Ruth 14 year old All-Stars have qualified to play in the Babe Ruth World Series that will be held in Eagle Pass, Texas on August 9-16th with a travel day on August 7th and opening ceremonies  on August 8th.  The team is made up of 15 young men from Jefferson and Orange Counties in Southeast Texas, including Nederland, Port Neches, Groves, Bridge City and Orangefield.  This team won the East Texas State Championship held on June 29th-July 1st  in Wharton, Texas by going undefeated.  For these young men to be able to experience such an honor it will take the help and donations from our local community.  That being said the team has to pay for transportation, hotel, and food expenses throughout the ten day tournament.   In order for this team of outstanding young men to participate in this once in a lifetime event we are asking for $30,000 in donations.  That amount will give each family about $2,000 to help out with expenses.   No amount is too small and any donation is welcome.  Thank you for your consideration.
