Ned Hitchings' Jr Care Fund
Donation protected
For those of you who don't know, my dad, Ned Hitchings Jr. was in a motorcycle accident 4 weeks ago where he suffered from a severe traumatic brain injury, brain bleeding, and facial fractures. He lost the ability to preform every day activities that the normal person takes for granted... walking, talking, dressing, bathing, and grooming. Through ER, ICU, trauma and inpatient rehabilitation he had made slow improvements. Medical staff still had determined that Ned will have life long deficits and is now unable to make decisions for himself.
Then things took a turn, he has been admitted to the hospital with bad infections and receiving treatment (they aren't sure exactly what's wrong.) but has become even more deconditioned. We are definitely looking at a long road of recovery with ups and downs. We are currently looking into state programs to assist him with long term care benefits but as we all know, for him to live with better care, we will be coming out of pocket for a long time. Things like this are always so unexpected and that's why we are creating this gofundme.
Please help if you can. If you cannot, a prayer, wish, and support for him and the family will suffice. Thank you! We love you all and are eternally grateful. Our old Ned is gone, now its time to embrace the new Ned...it takes a village.
