My name is Matthew, I have been working hard for several years to secure a spot in Newburgh Free Academy’s global service program, Global to Local.
I am one of only 11 students selected from many applicants to be part of the 2019 team traveling to Uganda in the Summer of 2019 for 10 days.
We will be working with our mentors to provide support to teachers with limited resources in Uganda, while also learning about how community change-makers work for positive social change.
In order to make this trip a possibility, I need to fundraise for a portion of the cost of the trip. I am asking for you support. With your support, not only will I be able to travel to Uganda, but your support will help me learn about the world & build my leadership skills. This support will allow me to help people across the world AND in my community, Newburgh.
As part of my journey, this program allows me to help my local community. After I return from Uganda, during my Senior Year, I will be working on a local community impact project in Newburgh.
