Jesse and Benita - Burma Mission

Donation protected
Our mission: We love helping others. We love sharing God's love. We are motivated to use the gifts that God gave us to help others. In Free Burma Rangers we have found an organization that we can partner with that uses our gifts to the fullest. September 2015 we will go back to our previous positions at FBR which we know well and enjoy doing. We have no time constraints for how long we can work with FBR but plan on at least 2 years with yearly evaluation for extending our time there. We would be based in Chiang Mai, Thailand but spend 3-5 months a year in Burma training new teams and going on missions to bring help, hope, and love to villagers and displaced peoples. We want to stay involved with and invite others who might be interested in learning about FBR to come and participate in the work they are doing.

About us:  We, Jesse and Benita Cusic, are currently living in Copenhagen. Benita is Danish and I am American. We met in Chiang Mai as I was working for Free Burma Rangers and Benita was working for Voice of Peace (A Christian radio station supported by the Danish Covenant Church). Later Benita came back to also work for FBR for 8 months. In 2012 Benita returned to Denmark to start her degree in music education. We continued our relationship long distance as I was living in Thailand and working for FBR still. In 2014 summer we got married and decided to spend our first year of marriage living in Denmark so Benita could finish school and we could focus on our marriage as our mission. All along it has been our plan to return back to the mission field.

About FBR: We will be partnering with the group Free Burma Rangers (FBR) which has been working in Burma since 1996. The vision of FBR is to free the oppressed and to stand for human dignity, justice, and reconciliation in Burma. FBR has members of all beliefs but the core leaders are strong believers who are motivated to see others find the freedom in Christ as well as working to see the people of Burma free from oppression. Everyone who works for FBR is an unpaid volunteer and most are motivated to help the people of Burma from their personal relationship with Jesus. You can read more here: http://www.freeburmarangers.org/about/

Our past work with FBR: I worked with FBR from 2007-2014 first as the logistics director and later as the Executive officer. I would return as the Executive officer which overseas all the operations of the 70+ FBR teams and 4 yearly trainings for new members. Benita worked as the volunteer and guest coordinator directing activities for supporters, distribution and translation of the Day of Prayer magazine, and administrative assistant. She also taught English to school children who are ethnically Wa from Burma.

Blessings,

Jesse and Benita
