Silence Kills™ Startup Fund

In 2015, I survived an attack meant to kill me, on the hands of my abuser. I survived being stabbed 12xs, so I know this herd is my purpose. I want to be thriving, and I truly know the support me and other survivors of trauma are in dire need of. Our nonprofit will be Silence Kills™.
Silence Kills™
MISSION: This will be a nonprofit that will foster the ability of all of our members to turn their pain into power. I stand by this. We will encourage people to speak on the unspoken via artistic expression.

PURPOSE: Working to curate, create, educate and love things back to healing. Our silence is literally killing us. Figuratively as well. We lose our voices in the midst of abuse and trauma. Our village of supporters and family will all be here to empower each other to be great, regardless of our circumstances.

Lifetime trauma, such as Domestic Violence (but not limited to), can have significant mental health consequences. Our silence is literally killing us. Our community is being failed because we do not always have the proper education about what we are experiencing after trauma, in order to recognize it before we can start to heal through it. We are enduring immense pain and also pretending not to have it, which creates a ripple effect. I want to reach the people who need it MOST, and most times those are the people that are not coming to you. *Food for thought*

By you contributing, you will be making your lasting impression for the legacy we are starting to create. Silence Kills™ will be a nonprofit that will foster the ability of all of our members to turn their pain into power. We will provide culturally relevant education, resources, community awareness, and social support. We will build campaigns to address key issues in our community that directly affect us speaking on the things that we have never dealt with to begin with. We will encourage people to speak on the unspoken via artistic expression.
