£26,476 of £27,500 goal

Raised by 1,306 people in 15 months
If everyone who signed the petition donated £1, we could reach our goal in no time and help so many more people in Natasha and Aidan situation!
If anyone knows of any great charities who help people facing deportation or families who could be separated, please leave a comment!

As I'm sure most of you have heard, Natasha's solicitor who was handling the case decided to practice some very unscrupulous tactics to try and blackmail her into paying well above the standard for an immigration case at 4:45pm the day before her court hearing on 29th November 2017. Upon discovering they weren't the only ones this had happened to and the incredible amount of factual innacuracies and spelling errors, they decided to go to the court themselves and plead their case.

The final hearing has been postponed until January/February 2018, however Aidan and Natasha were told by a judge that they will need a new solicitor ASAP and enough money to cover fee for the Indefinite Leave To Remain visa that they will have to apply for.

From 6 April 2017, the application fee was raised to £2,297 (£2,848 premium) per person plus any additional NHS surcharge fees (it's a new charge and boy is it fun!) will come to around £4,000. The solicitor fees for our previous case (which they were told they would still have to pay despite extreme dishonesty on the solicitors part) and a new solicitor to take on the case will be about £6,000. GoFundMe takes a percentage of the donations so it is not known what the final figure raised will be.

CHANGE.ORG PETITION WITH OVER 59,000 SIGNATURES!

Aidan met Natasha in 2011 when he moved to London. The next year they married, and have built a life together. But two years ago, Natasha who is originally from Canada, had her spousal visa renewal refused. We campaigned and managed to stop immediate deportation but now she could be forced to leave.

Please sign this petition to help keep them together in the UK.

"Aidan is my friend who I met 12 years ago in the music community, so when I heard that they were being threatened with being torn apart I started this petition. We need to keep up the pressure until Natasha gets the right to stay." - Cinnamon Francis-Burnett

Natasha cares for Aidan daily due to a serious illness that he is fighting. He is diagnosed with nerve damage caused by a prolapsed disc (L5-S1) and degeneration of his spine. He’s suffered from minor pain up to full blown partial paralysis of one side; Natasha has stood by his side providing him with financial support and a lot of loving care to help him get back to good health.

His poor health has prevented him from working full-time, though when possible he’ll do an the occasional gig. He also has Asperger’s Syndrome which is exacerbated by the attempt to deport Natasha.

The Home Office do not deem Aidan's illness as severe, despite notes from doctors and hospitals proving otherwise. And despite their income being over £25k a year (well over the £18.5k threshold), it is not deemed as acceptable – because some came from Natasha’s self-employed roles and Natasha's family during a difficult time.

We petition Amber Rudd and the Home Office to reverse their decision to deport Natasha. Natasha and Aidan are inseparable, completely reliant on one another, and deeply in love. This decision is destroying them, and Aidan's health is already being severely affected by it.

The Home Office should not be able to separate legitimate, loving couples who have never turned to the state for financial help.

Hey everyone! We’ve got the last bit to go to cover the translator and (what I’ve been told) Iast bit of legal stuff to go so we can finally sort out this and be done with it! We are so close!
My Canadian passport should be arriving soon and Aidan’s PIP should be reinstated soon as well. We have someone helping us with finding out what other benefits he is entitled to with the restrictions that we have while living under this Hostile Environment nonsense! I’ve had to do some pretty drastic things in the past to keep Aidan safe and us surviving (things the press likes to twist to fit their narrative) but the last 6-7 months have been some of the toughest yet and without your love and support I don’t know where we would be. Well, at the very least homeless and separated across the ocean.
Please keep is in your thoughts and hopefully all this positive energy will help us WIN!

PS: If anyone knows how to start a charity please contact us as we would really like to begin something to help others in our situation.

Thanks again for your donations. We’re in a pretty tight spot.
We’ve spoken to DWP and they’ve agreed to send the letter again and if it isnt received this time we can pick it up from a secure location.

It’s still very hard for me to admit that we’re so screwed, especially since this has been going so long and I hate admitting to myself that we need help. I try to play down our situation because I hate being helpless and scaring Aidan as the stress makes him sicker but we’ve got rent in a few days and about £75 to our name because of rent and legal stuff having to pay for along with a certified Slovak translator for the documents. We’ve got £2,334 to go so please if you even have £5 it would mean that we can survive another month/sort out documents and legal letters until this is over/make sure Aidan can get to his hospital appointments etc....

Thank you everyone.

We've got about £450-ish so far only £2,600 to go! This is the home stretch! Hopefully this will mean Monday was the last time I would have to go to that horrible immigration place and will cover our food/life/solicitor expenses until then.

Again, if anyone has any comments or advice please email youthelivingmusic[@]gmail[.]com as it will go directly to Aidan and I.

x
Natasha

PS: Enjoy a photo of Aidan and Boo on the train to Heathrow with me on Monday.
