Save Natasha from deportation!

£19,178 of £20,000 goal

If everyone who signed the petition donated £1, we could reach our goal in no time and help so many more people in Natasha and Aidan situation!
If anyone knows of any great charities who help people facing deportation or families who could be separated, please leave a comment!

As I'm sure most of you have heard, Natasha's solicitor who was handling the case decided to practice some very unscrupulous tactics to try and blackmail her into paying well above the standard for an immigration case at 4:45pm the day before her court hearing on 29th November 2017. Upon discovering they weren't the only ones this had happened to and the incredible amount of factual innacuracies and spelling errors, they decided to go to the court themselves and plead their case.

The final hearing has been postponed until January/February 2018, however Aidan and Natasha were told by a judge that they will need a new solicitor ASAP and enough money to cover fee for the Indefinite Leave To Remain visa that they will have to apply for.

From 6 April 2017, the application fee was raised to £2,297 (£2,848 premium) per person plus any additional NHS surcharge fees (it's a new charge and boy is it fun!) will come to around £4,000. The solicitor fees for our previous case (which they were told they would still have to pay despite extreme dishonesty on the solicitors part) and a new solicitor to take on the case will be about £6,000. GoFundMe takes a percentage of the donations so it is not known what the final figure raised will be.

Aidan met Natasha in 2011 when he moved to London. The next year they married, and have built a life together. But two years ago, Natasha who is originally from Canada, had her spousal visa renewal refused. We campaigned and managed to stop immediate deportation but now she could be forced to leave.

Please sign this petition to help keep them together in the UK.

"Aidan is my friend who I met 12 years ago in the music community, so when I heard that they were being threatened with being torn apart I started this petition. We need to keep up the pressure until Natasha gets the right to stay." - Cinnamon Francis-Burnett

Natasha cares for Aidan daily due to a serious illness that he is fighting. He is diagnosed with nerve damage caused by a prolapsed disc (L5-S1) and degeneration of his spine. He’s suffered from minor pain up to full blown partial paralysis of one side; Natasha has stood by his side providing him with financial support and a lot of loving care to help him get back to good health.

His poor health has prevented him from working full-time, though when possible he’ll do an the occasional gig. He also has Asperger’s Syndrome which is exacerbated by the attempt to deport Natasha.

The Home Office do not deem Aidan's illness as severe, despite notes from doctors and hospitals proving otherwise. And despite their income being over £25k a year (well over the £18.5k threshold), it is not deemed as acceptable – because some came from Natasha’s self-employed roles and Natasha's family during a difficult time.

We petition Amber Rudd and the Home Office to reverse their decision to deport Natasha. Natasha and Aidan are inseparable, completely reliant on one another, and deeply in love. This decision is destroying them, and Aidan's health is already being severely affected by it.

The Home Office should not be able to separate legitimate, loving couples who have never turned to the state for financial help.

Hello everyone!
If anyone is emailing me or trying to get in touch with me I will be difficult to reach for a bit as I was mugged last night and my phone was very kindly stolen. My right leg is in a bit of a state but I'm just grateful I wasn't stabbed. No matter how careful and savvy you think you are being (having lived in cities my whole life) you will always be outsmarted by thieves. Be careful!

Normal updates will resume and in the meantime we are in the process of getting my new canadian passport!

Thank you so much everyone for all the donations. It’s crazy to think this fundraiser even still needs to exist because of all the crap the home office are doing.

Hopefully we are in the home stretch both with getting my Canadian and therefore Slovak passport to stay here and also living with the insane restrictions placed upon our lives in order to make us jobless, homeless, penniless and without healthcare.

Your kind donations have helped get a roof over our heads and food on our table while we have waited and fought for justice.

I know it’s not much, but for anyone who has donated who would like some nice family photos for Christmas (and who lives in London!) I would be happy to offer my photography expertise to three families to make some beautiful memories this holiday season. It could be a family portrait, a new baby, family pets or anything you’d like. Just email youthelivingmusic@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can. X

Natasha (and Aidan)

PS: Please continue to share the petition and fundraiser with your family and friends! We haven’t won yet!

Hello Everyone!

It's been a wild few months and there hasn't been much to report other than we've been waiting tirelessly for the home office to give my passport back. We've reached a roadblock again and it's become extremely difficult to continue. Very stressful. I will let Cinnamon's update on the petition speak as she is much more eloquent that me!

"Apologies for the silence for the last few months, Natasha and Aidan have been trying to get their lives back on track whilst they wait for the Home Office to do as they have said and hand over a copy of her previous passport, however this has still not happened.
I received a message from Natasha last night with a small update for everyone.
Since finding somewhere to live they have been trying to get through the last leg of the immigration issues. They are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with everything at the moment and at present they are struggling to handle the expenses placed upon them by the Home Office's cntinued feet dragging as well as the continued difficulties relating to Aidan's disabilities.
They have waited 3 months for a copy of Natasha's previous passport to be given to them and now they are being told she has to apply for a whole new passport before she can complete her European passport application.
As you can imagine this is yet another cost being lumped on them due to the Home Office's failings to produce a document they confiscated years ago! The shocking negligence throughout Natasha's immigration fight is beyond acceptable.
As a couple they are completely drained and broken by the continued fight that has driven them back into financial hardship. It has been ongoing for years now and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier for them.
I'm resharing their GoFundMe just to try and ease the pressure on them whilst they go through the last few battles. It's horrendous seeing the strain on the pair of them and I want to try and help them get through this as quickly as they can.
If people could reshare the petition to try and get the signatures up more and the GoFundMe we would really appreciate it.
Thank you to everyones continued support of Natasha and Aidan. They are drained, they are beaten down and they have wanted to give up on more than one occasion but they are still fighting because they can see they have support. So thank you for all of the continued messages of support and everything you guys have all done.
Love has got to win here! "
