Nasty Woman Support Network Travel
"On January 21, 2017 we will unite for the Women's March on Washington. We will stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country. Because women's rights are human rights."
But we know that many women across the nation who want to join us cannot due to financial constraints. That is why women from around the country are uniting to launch Nasty Women Support Network. The NWS Network’s mission is to raise funds for women who need financial assistance to attend the march. Selected women will receive a voucher to cover up to $300 of their travel expenses.
NWSN is gathering funds from now until January 7th at 11AM (eastern) when we will draw names of women who have applied to receive assistance. The more money we raise; the more women we can sponsor to attend the March! Applicants understand that they must cover any additional costs and they must provide proof of attendance to receive reimbursement. Accountability measures* are in place to ensure the attendee provides proof of attendance and is reimbursed immediately after the march. If needed, every effort will be made to match lottery winners with rooms in the DC Metro area for housing.

*Accountability measures are in place to ensure:
Selected attendees provide proof of attendance
Selected attendees are reimbursed immediately after the march.
If needed, every effort will be made to match selected attendees with rooms in the DC Metro area for housing.
If a traveller does not attend the march OR if the march is cancelled all remaining donations will be sent to Planned Parenthood.
Host committee and Network leadership are volunteers and will not be reimbursed for time worked.
