Our joint fundraising drive with the NEAR-Fest organization along with a few of our members was a great success. We have raised $2,400 to support our STEM learning and EMCOM projects in the last 2 weeks!! Thank you to NEAR-Fest and everyone who helped make our NEAR-Fest drive a success!

We are raising funds to support a variety of STEM learning projects including High-Altitude Balloon projects, electronics learning projects, and license training for High School and Middle School students. We are also raising funds to allow us to purchase and maintain equipment to provide emergency communications and associated training in times of disaster.

The Nashua Area Radio Society is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating STEM learning opportunities and emergency communications training through Amateur Radio.

Our Expo featured a kit building activity where mentors helped young people to build Morse Tutor kits. It was great fun! Our fund raising project supports our youth Expos and other activities to help young people to become pashonate about Science and Technology through Amateur Radio.

We recently held a Summer Technician License class for students, teachers, and their parents at the Hudson Memorial School in Hudson, NH. Our class included many hands-on activities such as Get On The Air and Portable Stations, Fox Hunts, Antenna Building, and Morse Code practice. The class was free to the students and our fund raising efforts allowed us to supply books and other materials for the class. Most of the students who took the class earned their Technician Licenses!

Here's a photo of the students checking out the radio telemetry from the HAB just before launch. We are using an Amateur Radio GoKit to monitor the APRS transmissions from the ballon at the launch site.
