Support Experiential Learning

I am proud to announce that Patrick McCollum was just accepted into The Outdoor Academy for the Spring 2016 semester! Patrick took the initiative to apply, was diligent in following up with all of the teachers and admissions officers, and is now working to raise the balance of funds to pay tuition. 

What is The Outdoor Academy?
"The Outdoor Academy is an accredited residential semester school for high achieving sophomores and select freshman and juniors. Focused on intellect, environment, community, and craft, OA delivers rigorous high school academics infused with experiential education in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why does Patrick need your help to pay tuition?
The Outdoor Academy is providing some scholarship funds towards Patrick's tuition. As his mom, I would love to say I have the money readily available to write the check today for the balance, but that is not the case. I am a single mom who lost her job in October so tuition money is not something I have. 

How and when the money you donate will be used:
Every penny of the funds you donate will go to Patrick's tuition and expenses associated with attending The Outdoor Academy. If more funds are donated to Patrick than are needed for his tuition, we will pay it forward by donating any overage to The Outdoor Academy for their tuition and scholarship fund. 
 The Spring semester will begin in January 16th and tuition is due by the 8th.
