Dance Theatre of Harlem Summer Intensive
I have been given the amazing opportunity to dance at DTH in New York this summer. I'm incredibly excited to get one step further towards becoming a professional dancer. I began professionally training at no cost, Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artist. I then received a full tuition scholarship at TU Dance, where I have greatly advanced because of the love and support I receive there.
I feel so blessed to have been accepted into an amazing school in New York where I can learn and grow as a person and an artist; but I need your help!
I live at home with only my mother. We only have each other, no family. Momma had a stroke 4 years ago but she fought hard to recover. She only had 10% chance of living; but she stayed strong and prayed to God with all her faith. She is doing much better now, but work has been limited because of her disability. My mother and I are determined to make this happen despite of all the hardships in life.
Any donations made would truly be a blessing. Down below I've posted my audition video and a video that shares a bit of my story (starts at 2:30 through the end). My goal in life is to become a role model and inspire young girls to dream big and chase their dreams despite of all the pain in life. I want to be the example of "pain passes, but beauty remains".
