Christian’s Fight

Brad Daugherty, and his family of 6, (wife Amanda and their 4 children Madyson 15, Elijah 9, Grace and Christian (twins), 7yrs old.), one year ago today, October 23rd received news that their then 6yr old youngest child (Christian) had a tumor the size of a baseball. His brain was hemorrhaging and they also found out that he had a rare form of brain cancer (PXA grade 3). They have praised God through all the pain and heartache. Their small child has been through 4 brain surgeries, proton beam radiation, and several conversations that he would not make it. Today, (Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018), they walked into Riley hospital to have the hardest conversation of their lives.  The doctors dont have much else they can do. The tumor is coming back and it grows so fast. It is growing into the part of the brain that controls breathing and they will more than likely not operate. Christian is taking two oral chemo medications at home from today forward. To date they have spent over $35,000 on medical bills and at this point, they really don’t know what the financial need will be moving forward. Brad only asks, if God puts it on your heart to please give, as God knows what their needs are. They want to make these moments they have left are as amazing as possible for their sweet boy. They have not given up on a miracle but they will cherish each day they have. God is good all the time... #courage4christian
