Father battles back from West Nile

On August 12 our lives had changed overnight. My husband of 35 years Gary Ryley had developed the most severe form of the west Nile disease.. Gary spent 12 days in the hospital One night he was unresponsive and most of the time was spent in the ICU and five days in a coma leaving his mother sisters myself And our four children worried, scared, sad, hurt, helpless, and continuing to pray! And having faith My husband Gary and I have a long road of recovery in front of us re-learning to what we think are simple things such as holding a glass and taking a drink holding your plate and eating your food using utensils writing your name or even a sentence Re-learning how to pick something up simple as a remote and to keep hold of it learning how to sit up and even walk he’s lost his strength and energy we have nurse and physical therapy coming over to help Gary get stronger the doctors gave us six months to a year or even longer tell he is back on his feet and the doctors told us they still don’t know if there is any permanent damage and Some of the damage can last his whole life time we are so thankful for our friends and family and so blessed to have 11 beautiful grandchildren that keep Gary smiling and fighting back Which leads me to Financial help me and Gary have always worked without his income and the bills piling in including medical and every day living I am now reaching out to My friends family and my community for help In this desperate time of need I have missed a lot of work because of this mosquito!!! Me and our children are on a schedule so my husband is not alone and I can work to try and keep us A float
