Thank you Jesus

I had been a caregiver for my parents since 2007, my mother passed in 2010_ my father 2017.    I myself was a Lpn and took all the necessary time off to take care of my parents, and I wouldn't change that decision to care for them. I was able to work awhile with my mom, but when my father had to be cared for 2012, I quit my job, and did get unemployment for awhile. The state of Illinois does not pay family for caregivers to take care of family. 

After my father passed, I got my nursing license reinstated. Now I had not worked the first year of his death, hit me  lil harder than I thought it would.  This was in April, had my first interview and got hired, the previous week I had been to Dr appt.,and had a chest X-ray.  The same day I got job, pulled up to dads house and got ph call you have cancer WHAT!!!! 

I was diagnosed with lung cancer, with metastasized to my right femur. I was able to work 1 1/2 months before I had to quit, biopsy, scans, radiation, chemo, to add more I fell 3 weeks ago and broke my femur. I'm home and had my last chemo, last week. I am stage 4.  I thank God for my support thru this journey! Thank you for reading, support, caring and prayers.
