Kathleen's recovery slow! She needs someone who can drive her truck and trailer with them to Wisconsin when she can travel!!!!! Any ideas?????
Kathleen Kalina is a 64 year-old elder who has been forced by life circumstances to live in a small travel trailer at a campground in south Texas. Her only income is Social Security of $1000 a month and she has not been able to find any college teaching positions that had kept her afloat in the past. Her many medical issues that she has handled with courage and resolve have become worse and a new diagnosis now includes kidney disease. She has not been able to find work or any social service program that could help her and each day her situation becomes more and more dire. She needs to be able to pay rent, truck repair and insurance, buy food, propane and take her dog for vet care.
Kathleen and her dog, Daisy, are at the stage where their old leaking trailer needs to be replaced or greatly overhauled. If enough support can be found, Kathleen would return to her roots in Wisconsin and reestablish a home near Prairie du Chien.
