We are in the process of purchasing the Yonkers Gospel Missions located in Yonkers NY. This facility will house our church and provide an opportunity to minister to the community.
This facility will be self-sustaining and allow us to focus on our core mission. Listed below are some of the outreach efforts we will be providing once we take possession of the Facility. The facility already has space that will meet the goals below with little construction. All of the goals below can be put into place immediately.
Bethel Temple of Praise Proposed Plan
Soup Kitchen/Food Pantry
It is our intention to provide food to those that are less fortunate and have found themselves in need. There is a commercial kitchen with a banquet hall that can provide for some kind of feeding program. There is a food pantry already on site, it has a cool and dry food storage area.
Residential Shelter
Continuing in similar mission as the previous owners. We are exploring what we can do to provide residential services to those in need. The Mission currently has 55 beds. We are open to providing some service to homeless, single mothers, men or women.
Respite
We are connected with missionaries that are serving overseas and often times return home for a time of rejuvenating and refreshing themselves. We desire to provide a place that they can stay in Yonkers during this time. This will be available to pastors that are on their sabbatical.
After School/Daycare Program
We intend to provide a daycare or after-school program to the community, particularly to those that are in need.
Our Mission is:
• To reach the unsaved through the proclamation of the Gospel Message (reach others)
• To make disciples through the teaching of the Word of God (teach others)
• To foster fellowship by strict adherence to the Apostles Doctrines and Ministries (serving others)
