Mz. T- Cancer Warrior! Medical Fund

Loving mother, inspiring teacher, devoted daughter and sister, dear friend, breast cancer warrior.

This summer Sally Tankersley (known lovingly as Mz. T to so many) discovered a lump in her breast.  She had a biopsy, which confirmed that she has stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. After a barrage of tests including a CT scan, genetic testing, and a PET scan it revealed that it has metastasized. With her wonderful oncology team and the love and support from her family and friends, Sally is ready to fight this thing!

Sally has been an elementary school science teacher at St. John's Episcopal Day School for 23 years. Living on a school teacher's salary is difficult even when healthy, so try to imagine the financial burden her diagnosis has brought upon Sally. While she is not able to work, her salary will be used to pay the permanent substitute teacher so she will have very little (if any) funds coming in to help cover her medical and living expenses. Many costs have already been accruing that are not covered by her private insurance.

But we can help Sally get through this together! If not in a monetary donation, please consider other forms of support such as visiting her during chemo treatments, bringing a healthy meal by her house, lifting her up in prayer, or sending a note of encouragement.
