The Rainbow Community Needs You!

We're building Australia's Queer & Alternative Multimedia Network and we need your support to create a safe and inclusive online environment for the LGBTIQ community, their families and their allies.

If everyone who read this contributed $3  (less than the price of a cup of coffee!)  we'd have the funds to cover the cost of our platform and gain access to essential resources!

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

As 'The Rainbow Community'  we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, equality and dignity. We want to launch a network that provides a safe place to contribute stories, discuss current events, and create a business directory that lists LGBTIQ-friendly businesses, services and reviews.
 
THE ISSUES

Nobody should have to suffer from anxiety or depression. We all deserve a chance at happiness no matter what our gender, race or sexuality and future generations deserve the right to live their lives free of self-loathing, self-harm and suicide.
As Lady GaGa said; we're born this way, but our government tells LGBTIQ people that if you're born that way -  you're not equal. 

Did you know that LGBTIQ people are three-times more likely to experience anxiety, depression, ill health, financial distress and high risk behaviours that lead to self-harm, substance abuse and even suicide? 

My Rainbow Network is here to support anyone who is living under the tyranny of inequality!

OUR OBJECTIVES

We will work to raise awareness and develop support programs that:

·         Advance education and access to LGBTI resources;
·         Support youth living in remote or regional areas; 
·         Advance cultural tolerance and prosperity; 
·         Support reconciliation and cultural understanding;
·         Restore the integrity of human rights for all people.

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? ...  Someone needs to!



Apparently, it's okay to spend 160 million dollars on a vote for "Marriage Equality". However, what assurances have we been given that this vote addresses discrimination towards same-sex couples?

And what's being done about the education gap left by the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) Group, and mainstream media?

With pressing  issues like these, it’s easy to see why we care about the rights and future of LGBTIQ youth and the broader rainbow community.

Ltd is Australia's Queer & Alternative Multimedia Network, collating relevent local and international news, blogs, social & political events and issues, campaigns, entertainment, travel and rainbow retail with a growing directory that is a portal to a rainbow-friendly, ethical marketplace.

Pledge your support for diversity and equality. Any money raised or donated will be used to help pay for the construction of our platform and help us fight for reform and social inclusion for the rainbow community.
