My Neighbor Steve

If you've been to my place the last four years, you've probably passed by my neighbor Steve.  He's usually parked out front. That's Steve's truck behind him. That's where he lives.

Steve's been doing day work to make ends meet. Sometimes he fixes cars, sometimes he's a mover.

About three months ago Steve was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The cancer has spread to his liver and lungs. Steve is concentrating on managing his pain. It is increasingly difficult for him to sleep or work.

Going forward, Steve has arranged some assistance for his pain management, muscle relaxants and blood thinners, but the initial outlay tapped almost all of his funds.

I am trying to raise money for Steve's living expenses. It's not clear yet whether a case worker might be able to arrange housing assistance for him. It would be good in the meanwhile if he could get funds for a motel some nights, for uncovered medical expenses and for other needs.
 
Steve doesn't have all four things GoFundMe requires to be a direct beneficiary so I will collect funds on Steve's behalf and give him a money order.
