Hello,
For those of you who don't know me,
my name is Vivian Villegas, I am the daughter of
Ramon Luis Villegas and Manuela Soto and the blessed and proud mother of 2 amazing young men; Jovian and Christian, they are my life and my everything!
"The Wind Beneath My Wings"
and this is My Cancer Story...
-On May 8th 2015, I received one the of the most difficult and devastating news I've ever had to face in my life. That Friday morning; after an emergency colonoscopy, I was told without a warning and completely unexpectedly the words that absolutely no one should ever hear; "YOU HAVE CANCER".... and then the nightmare began. My life, the life of my kids and those most closed to me drastically changed after that surreal day as we started this extremely difficult and painful journey.
-I was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer stage 2 and almost immediately after my diagnosis I was rushed into surgery to remove a very aggressive Cancer tumor in my Colon, a month after my surgery, I began another very overwhelming and difficult time. Many months of very intense, hard, painful and agonizing chemotherapy treatments that have entirely changed my life.
-Unfortunately, this treatment was not as successful as we all expected and shortly after my last chemotherapy session I had my PET Scan which revealed that the Cancer had metastasized to my Lymphatic System, Stage 3; and that this Cancer was potentially going to spread through out my body which unfortunately it has already began to do so and that it also could affect any of my organs. I was also told that I needed to start another very aggressive treatment immediately. During this period I was not able or allowed to return to work and eventually after a long year out of work in which I had countless tests and treatments, sadly I lost my job and I had to retire due to all the ongoing medical issues related to my condition. Needless to say this situation has brought many challenges and uncertainties as well as many financial difficulties to my life but even through it all,
I AM BLESSED!!!
-God never Fails; his immense love has given me so much strength during this difficult time. He has provided everything my son and I have needed during this past 20 months. God has also blessed me with a WONDERFUL SUPPORT TEAM. My team although small, is filled with compassionate and caring people who have been there for me and with me every step of my journey. I thank God for them every day! God has never forgotten nor forsaken me.
-Unfortunately, still to this day and almost 2 years later after my cancer diagnosis, I still have not been able to to work and in spite of my ongoing medical treatments, healthy life style and continuous alternative treatments which I have been paying in its entirely during the past year I was just informed by my doctors that my cancer is progressing and continues to spread through my lymph nodes creating more tumors throughout my body. This cancer is slow; yet very aggressive and stubborn. It's threatening to damage and destroy everything on its way; Yes, CANCER SUCKS! However I am a FIGHTER and a WARRIOR!!! And no matter what challenges and obstacles I might encounter I will keep on FIGHTING and I WILL NEVER GIVE UP! I trust in God and in His mighty plan for me.
-MY FIGHT IS HARD AND MY FAITH IS STRONG!!! and I must continue my treatments and healing process but it's not getting any easier and I will no longer be able to afford this treatments without help. I've always been a very independent, hard working and self sufficient woman and this journey has not been easy to say the least and as I mentioned before, my health situation has not allowed me to return to work. My income is very limited and I have not been able to obtain much government assistance but regardless of my financial situation and struggles I am determined to continue with my alternative treatments; because I know they work!!! And I AM living proof of it but as I said earlier I can't no longer continue to afford this without your help.
-This is why I am humbly reaching out to you today to ask you to PLEASE HELP ME cost my treatments so I can continue my fight againt cancer. This alternative treatments are costly but I am sure they work and they have and will continue to help me continue my fight and my journey and could even safe my life.
-This is why I am hoping in faith and humbly asking for your help with whatever you are able to.
Please DONATE to my cause; your help and generosity will make a difference in my life!
-My plan and is to continue the fight against this horrible disease but now I need to atack it full force by continuing all my treatments in a holistic hospital and I am hoping that with your help and generosity I can achieve this within the next 3 months. This hospital provides cancer patients like me and around the world the opportunity to obtain a better quality of life through both traditional and alternative medicine. This place consists of 24/7 certify doctors and staff, individualized cancer treatment plans that will allow me to transform my life, both physically and emotionally while providing me with many other services that will give me a greater chance and opportunity to safe my life while fighting stronger against this disease. Unfortunately places like this are NOT covered under any medical insurance plan; and they are not cheap either but I absolutely believe they are worth every cent and all the donations received will be used to cost my entire treatment. This will greatly help ME and my family through this journey and I know that; Together We Can Do It!!!
