Hello friends.
I am trying to raise money so that I can get a used car for myself. My car was washed away, most likely into the Tiber or Potapsco river, during the flood that devastated Old Ellicott City over the weekend. It was 18 years old, not worth much and its loss is not covered by my insurance. I have been unable to locate it in the aftermath and even if it is found, it is not salvagable because of the inevitable water damage and whatever physical damage it has undoubtedly sustained.
I have been working my butt off for months, balancing two jobs and school. I am not in a position to be able to just buy a new car and my credit is so poor/nonexistant that I have already been denied for an auto loan, consequentially making my credit score go down by adding a new credit inquiry. I need help to get a used car that will get me to and from both jobs, even though my second job was also affected by the flood and I may be searching for a new one as a result...
Please, if you know me, you know I hate having to ask for help for myself. It feels like admitting defeat, but there is no way around it. I am out of options at this point. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and I love you all!
