My upcoming liver transplant
Donation protected
Hello I am Marilyn Graham, I am a retired journeyman electrician member of LU 175. I would love to still be working, I loved my trade. The day I was accepted into the IBEW family I was truly blessed. The last couple years I tried to work I really wasn't able to give it my all due to illness. I had several proceeduresand when it came to the hernia repair the CT showed that I had cirrosis of the liver. They proceeded to do the hernia repair with grave consequences, because of the cirrosis I developed a life threatening infection. Thank God and the support of family and extended family I pulled through. I was then tested and was positive for Hep C and had had it for who knows how long. With the help of my wonderful doctor Chirag Patel I was abel to get the treatment to get rid of it.
I am now living with the second cancerous tumor in my liver since then. But the greatest thing is that I am now on top of the transplant list for type O blood!! So I am waiting for a call from UAB any minute. My bills are overwhelming now so I am terrified not only of the surgery itself but how I will afford the medical bills and the medications I will need after transplant.
But now in the meantime I am in dier need of $2500.00 to solve a NASTY plumbing issue I have that will make it impossible for guests and health care providers to provide the care I will need when I come home for my recovery in a clean and sanitary environment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would be deeply indebted.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and God bless.
