My Professional Debut Play

Since I was probably four, all I've wanted to do is be an actor. After my years of training I have finally graduated and have embarked on this journey called "the hard aul slog". I've decided to make work for myself rather than wait for it and so I am currently mid production of my debut play. It's called Two Of Clubs and it is based in New York in the 1940's against the backdrop of the old jazz scene. I am a musician and an actor and I have finally found a way to marry the two.
In this industry, not everyone gets paid for what they do. It's just the way it is. What I intend to use this fundraiser for is to pay the people working for me to make this production happen, because without them it would not happen. The music we listen to, the films and television shows we watch are made by the people who worked tirelessly for years at what they were passionate about before getting recognition, and before getting paid properly. It is so so important to me that people in the arts are respected and paid for their trade.
The money donated to this fundraiser will go towards paying incredibly talented musicians, actors, designers & collaborators for the stellar work they are committing to with this team for Two Of Clubs, and for that I am so grateful to everyone. I would like to say a huge thank you in advance for anyone who makes a donation big or small and I cannot wait to show you, this December, what is made possible by your support for the arts.
