On July 25th, my mom's house caught  fire.

She went home on her lunch  break to check on the animals as she does every day, to find her 2 dogs passed away behind the front door. The interior of her house had been coated in ash and everything in the kitchen had melted. The fire fighter suspected that it was caused by faulty electrical wiring that lead to a box of family photos starting the blaze. Fortunately, the fire snuffed itself out and was contained in the kitchen due to being starved of oxygen because of the air conditioning units we had running to keep the animals cool. Unfortunately the flames consumed all of the oxygen in the house suffocating all of our 6 pets inside.

The dogs, Kita and Mikko, were found at the frond door by my mom. My two cats, Onyx and Mischa, were upstairs where the smoke didnt reach them, but there still wasn't any air and they passed away in the house. These 4 were brought onto the front yard by firefighters and gently placed on the lawn for my mom and the rest of out neighbors.

The last 2 cats, Misty and Luna, were my sisters they were both brought to the Vet by the firemen after Luna was resuscitated on the scene. After we had done the immediate preparations for leaving the house, we went to bring  the cates to a different vet for the night. They weren't doing well but they were still alive. The vets had given them medicines and kept each one in a small oxygen chamber. They were taken out and placed in a cardboard box for transport.

Within minutes of being out the her oxygen chamber, Luna started dying. We tried performing CPR in the car to the best of our ability and I ran her into the new ER, but they couldn't save her. We then brought Misty, our last pet in for the night. They monitored her and kept her in a larger O2 chamber overnight.

We arrived in the morning and the vet informed us that Misty was blind and paralyzed in her hind legs. There was a small chance that with time and more oxygen that she could recover, so we brought her to another Veterinary clinic. She stayed there all day and we arrived again in the late afternoon to see her progress.

They told us that she hadn't made any and that her condition mostly likely wouldn't improve. If we took her out of the chamber she wouldn't last long, and even with the help of our family and donations from the clinic, we couldn't afford to keep her there indefinitely.

We decided to put her to sleep and my Mom, my sister Paige, and I said goodbye to the last of our pets.

All of our possessions and the house itself is unsalvageable due to smoke damage. So many people are reaching out to us to help. We will forever be grateful to those people as this has been the worst couple days of our lives. Anything helps at this point. Thank you.
