I want to keep this short so here goes. I was diagnose with stage III melanoma in 2011. Many know about this. All was well until just about 2 months ago when I found swollen lymph nodes in my left neck. I had a biopsy and yup, you guessed it, I now have Stage IV metastatic melanoma, which is skin cancer that has spread to other organs
This is very fast moving and went from 2 to over 6 nodes in 5 weeks! So I'm in a hurry to get the best treatment and get it soon.
I'll be going in for treatment on Monday the 4th and will be out of work for about 3-4 weeks if not more an without pay. The drug is il2 and is intense but has good results. If you're interested you can google it. Work does not offer short term disability due to cancer but for other things like marriage, weird.
My medical bills have already started to pile up and I'll also need living expenses for at least two months.
I have family close by for support and help. So all I really need is your wonderful, hard earned donations.
Since my treatment starts this coming Monday if you'd like to donate please don't hesitate. I can use the money now.
I'll be in The Baton Rouge General Hospital for a week of intense treatment, then home for a week to recover than back for a second round. This usually is a six week process and if I can tolerate the treatment I'll do my best to complete it. I'll have personal nursed around the clock watching me very closly to make sure im doing well and will be there to help if not.
So there's my little pitch. If you find it in your heart to help I am truely grateful. I will be asking for more than I currently need because I don't know how long this is going to last. It will be less stress on me and my family to not have to worry about money at a time I will be fighting this black beast.
