My Kitten Needs an Ultrasound ASAP

This is a very urgent request as my 10 month old kitten Rhea, who my husband and I adopted from my local shelter in October 2016, needs an ultrasound ASAP. Rhea ate part of a mouse cord and threw two pieces up on Friday, April 21st. However, she was not keeping any food down and so we took her to the Animal ER on the 23rd. They did X-rays and the vet said there was no "foreign body" present. Therefore, they sent us home with her after they gave her an anti-nausea medication and subcutaneous fluids. She ate a little food but vomited that up too later that night. She was very lethargic and we decided to get her rechecked at the ER on the 24th. They recommended an ultrasound but it’s $400 and we already spent $500 which couldn’t afford in the first place. They said we could take her home and feed her a super bland diet and see how she does. I received a call from the ER vet on the 25th to inform me that the official radiology report came back from the x-ray done on the 23rd which said they suspected a possible foreign body and highly recommended further imaging, being an ultrasound, ASAP. We cannot afford another $400 and then from there, if there is a foreign body present, she would need surgery that can be anywhere from $2,000-5,000+ (depending on recovery time in the hospital, which we would need to do an additional campaign for).

Rhea is a very sweet little girl and she helped me through difficult times when I was very ill with a kidney infection. Our bond is very strong and my heart is breaking for her. She has lost so much weight from not being able to keep down food and is very lethargic. It is absolutely heart breaking to see. I have also had to leave work early to care for her. We are doing everything we can to help her but the financial aspect is a hurdle to overcome. She deserves to live and continue enjoying a pleasant life with us. She is very well loved by me, my husband, and our dog Leo in addition to our friends and family.
