"My Father & Me" Spiritual Journey

On January 11th, 1999, Robert D. Jackson's father Robert Dean Jackson was killed due to gang violence in Houston, TX.

18 years later on this day, Robert D. Jackson , will be traveling around the world with his father through a spirtual journey to reach and engage 1 Million Black & Brown Boys through arts, education, and public speaking. But Robert needs your support! Help get Robert to his target goal of $19,111 before his departure to London in 37 days!
In 2015, Robert launched his own initiative Paideia , a long-term enrichment program designed to positively empower, motivate and prepare African American and Latino (11-21 years old) young kings of the New York Metropolitan area to discover their full potential by understanding what it means to be a global leader and a Renaissance man. This idea sparked while he studied abroad at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) for an acting intensive in Fall 2014. In December of 2015, Washington Square News recognized Robert D. Jackson as one of NYU's Most Influential Students.
Robert D. Jackson has traveled to 23 countries as a 23 year old. Countries include: Brazil, Dominican Republic, Italy, Ghana, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands United Arab Emirates, Canada, Spain and many more.

Robert taught English Literacy to young boys with hearing loss while he studied abroad in Madrid, Spain.

Robert seen as a commedia character through his training in Commedia Dell'Arte in Florence, Italy in Summer 2014.

On September 22, 2018, Robert D. Jackson will be launching a book entitled, "My Father & Me" where he will highlight his experiences around the world through the Robert D. Jackson Blog, the Robert D. Jackson Travel Podcast and his musical endeavors as an international muscial artist.

How You Can Help
Robert is exploring opportunities to deepen his impact through a fundraising campaign and need your help. Robert's initial fundraising goal is $19,111 to seed his fees to engage with 1 Million Black and Brown Boys around the world. As Robert works to reach students and families around the globe, your support will enable Robert to:
1. Allow Robert to release a book dedicated to his father "My Father & Me" in September 2018.
2. Serve as a Millennial Speaker/Influence to Black and Brown boys in public schools that are underfunded and cannot pay Robert for his expertise and time.
3. Offer College Admissions & Financial Aid workshops to underserved communities of color for FREE.
4. Support the development of Robert D. Jackson's Travel Podcast, weekly blog, musical equiptment, teaching supplies and support technology.
5. Enhance Robert D. Jackson's website and social media presence to reach more students, educators, social entrepreneurs, families and schools.
6. Fund travel to meet with potential benefactors, clients and third-party content providers (e.g. universities, scholarship organizations, advocacy organizations, corporations, service providers and philanthropic organizations).
7. Allow Robert to provide three scholarships to students in Houston, New York and London.
Robert D. Jackson plans to travel throughout Europe, Latin America, West Africa, the Middle East and the United States in 2017.
