My Dear Doggie Zada - RIP

What started as a perfect day wound up being devastating for Sheratyn, my 18-year old niece. Sheratyn took her sweet puppy, Zada, on her very first outing – a Mother’s Day trip to Pismo Beach. A woman who bent down to pet Zada lost her balance and fell on her - crushing her little body. Please help Sheratyn pay the emergency vet bills she incurred trying to save Zada’s life,
This puppy was Sheratyn’s 18th birthday gift to herself. They had just lost their family dog in March and Zada brought new joy and love to the entire family – including Sheratyn’s teen sisters and 5-year old twin siblings. Sheratyn had been working hard to be responsible and pay for Zada’s shots and other needs on her own.
On that Sunday, the family was excited that Zada could finally go out with them after getting her last set of shots. They packed-up for what was supposed to be a fun day at the beach. They played for a while, watched Zada enjoy the beach and then there was this tragic turn of events. It was even more hurtful that the woman’s son told the kids to stop “overreacting” and then grabbed the woman by the arm saying “let’s go, she’s fine, she probably just bit her tongue”.
Sheratyn’s mother said that she is hurt at the callous response from the woman and her son, but added “I wholeheartedly believe the accident was just that, a tragic accident. I have no anger in my heart for the woman who lost her balance.”
My heart is broken for Sheratyn and her siblings who had to see this happen to their sweet little puppy. Sheratyn is such a sweetheart and always wanting to help people in need. I just want to help return the love!
