Lost my dad, and need to fly home.

My name is Jami Carignan, and last night, my dad, Daniel Carignan, passed away very suddenly and completely unexpectedly from a heart attack. My dad was an incredibly good man who had nothing but blitzing love and unmoving care in his heart for his family and those he loved, and I am unable to afford a flight home to see him and my family as we say our goodbyes and support each other as we suffer the loss of a person who was the cornerstone of our family--the most reliable and selfless person to everyone around him and source of love and stability for two children who needed it the most growing up.

Donations will be used for booking a departing and return flight from Arizona to Virginia, where my family is, and where services for him will be held. Flights are extremely expensive on this short of notice as I am aiming to fly back within the next few days. I'm sorry to ask for so much. My dad was always the kind of person who would move mountains for you without a thought but wouldn't accept any help back whatsoever (out of stubbornness mostly, hahah), and a lot of that has rubbed off on me. But now, I need help. If I've learned anything from this sudden loss, it is to accept and to not be afraid of reaching out to those who love you and want you to be safe and happy, if not just to ease the stress on your heart. It's a load other people are more than willing to help you bear.

I love my dad with everything I have. I wouldn't be the person I am today without him, in more than just the fact that he gave life to me. It breaks my heart that it isn't within my means to fly out instantly to see him and my family, so I am eternally greatful for everyone who has reached out, and everyone who has offered to help.
