Is the earth flat?
Hi, my name is Erik and I, along with my 4 girls and lovely wife, intend to prove that the earth is not a ball that is 25,000 miles in circumference. For this to be true, all bodies of water should be part of an arc with measurable curvature. From any point there should exist a declination of eight inches in the first mile and the mileage would be squared thereafter. Meaning two miles is 2X2=4X8=32" of curvature. At the miles, 3X3=9X8=72" of curvature. Meaning at a mere 3 miles from sea level at one point to a point sea level there, a 6 foot tall of water would be blocking the view. I need a decent camera to do some tests because I have two fairly large lakes near my house, and am also interested in going to Mobile to do tests across the bay. The camera would be great for astrophotography too. It is the Nikon p900 and is over my budget at $500 with a large family. The trip to mobile will cost about $500 too. Any help will be appreciated and anyone interested in the results can get the channels from me.+ Read More
