The Nellie McKnight Museum in Ellington CT is wholly owned and operated by the Ellington Historical Society.
Funding for the operation of the museum comes from the society members and any gifts that individuals give us.
In 2016 we had to remove a large old tree from the property, and the roof of the museum was replaced.
These two expenses have depleted our nest egg of donated funds. We need to rebuild the nest egg to provide for future expenses and emergencies.
Cost of the Roof: $10,925
Cost of the Tree removal: $950
Cost of yard grading: $425
Total funds needed: $12,300
