Mum and Scott's holiday to Coolum

This is my beautiful Mother, Jocelyn and her amazing Husband, Scott.  In 2010 Mum was diagnosed with Corticobasal degeneration (CBD).  CBD is a rare neurodegenerative disease characterized by cell loss and deterioration of specific areas of the brain, and symptoms can be mirror both Parkinson Disease and Dementia.  Sadly for Mum, the Dementia side of the disease is more apparent and she suffers from non-epileptic seizures (Muscular Jolts) which thankfully are now controlled with medication.  However, the past 12 months have been very difficult as the disease has become more aggressive.  Mum has significant speech and language abnormalities including difficulties understanding or expressing language (aphasia), difficulty saying what she wants to say despite knowing the right words (apraxia of speech) and speech difficulties due to problems with the muscles that enable speech (dysarthria).  Simple tasks such as eating, bathing and going to the toilet are now impossible to do without the assistance of others.  Scott and I take care of her and it is a major team effort to keep her at home.  I am a single mother of two children and a full-time university student, and Scott still works as a Tennis Coach.  Between the two of us, we do our best to give Mum the care she needs without her having to go to a care facility.  It is Scott's 50th birthday on January the 17th 2018 and I think this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate whilst we still have Mum in our lives.  Coolum Beach on the Sunshine coast is Mum and Scott's favourite place, they were married there in 2011 and have enjoyed many holidays there together.  I ask for your kind assistance to help me raise money to take them on a 7 day holiday to Coolum with all expenses (food etc) paid for.  I think this would be the perfect gift to give Mum and Scott because they truly deserve it!  Thank you so much and I will forever be appreciative of any help I receive in making this holiday a reality.
