MTAWA Scholarship Fund

The Mentoring Network for African Women in Academia (MTAWA) is a non-profit organization that establishes and builds networks for African women in support of their academic and professional growth and success. MTAWA’s mission is to empower African women to succeed in graduate and professional programs through targeted recruitment, mentoring, and career development support. Our goal is to increase the number of African women with advanced degrees in their respective fields of interest, and improve their representation in key leadership positions across multiple sectors including, but not limited to government, academia, industry, civil society, and international organizations. In efforts to fulfil these goals, we are actively recruiting and engaging mentors, mentees, and partners from around Africa and globally, and also anticipate offering financial support to our mentees to increase their opportunities and chances of success. By giving to the MTAWA Scholarship Fund you have the opportunity to significantly and positively impact the career progress of our student and early career mentees. The scholarships will go towards professional travel, conference registration, graduate school application fees, and other related expenses.
