Kaitlyn's Health Disparities Trip

Donation protected
Hello! This spring break, through the University of Delaware Alternative Breaks (UDaB), I was chosen among many students to join a service trip to Atlanta, Georgia. During my time in Georgia, my group and I will be focusing on health disparities. Going into the field of healthcare, I feel extremely blessed to be able to have this oppurtunity to work with my fellow Univeristy of Delaware students, the Medici Project, and other volunteers to help further other people's knowledge on specific aspects of health care. Atlanta, GA has one of the highest rates of HIV/AIDS and sex trafficking in the United States. With this in mind, I hope to really be able to make a difference in someone's life. While on the trip, we will be rebuilding half-way homes, educating people on different forms of healthcare, as well as bringing resources to those who do not have any. I am so excited to embark on this journey, but this journey does come at a price. With your help, I hope to raise enough money to make my trip possible. I am looking to raise $700 to help make this affordable. Any little bit helps! Thank you so much for your donations in advance. I will keep you updated on my trip through pictures and journal entries. I am so excited to have this oppurtunity to not only help others, but also gain experiences that are outside my comfort zone. This trip will allow me to not only help those in GA, but throughout my career.
