Mrs. Hodges Big Bear Adventure

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my GoFundMe.

My wife works very hard as an Oklahoma teacher and loves Bears- and no other place has more bears than Alaska. She would love to see Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park, and then be able to share her experiences with her classroom students.

Unfortunately, travel to Katmai National Park can only be done by air from populated cities such as Homer or Anchorage, Alaska, and her dream is to see the Brooks Falls to watch the Alaskan Brown Bears fish and be free in the wild.

We have saved as much as possible, but are just short of our goal. Your donation will go directly towards the transportation by sea plane to and from Katmai National Park Alaska. Any other contributions past this amount will be applied towards the possibility of a nights stay in Katmai.

 I wish there was a road to take, but in the land of giants air travel is the only way.

I will be taking pictures and videos to share so everyone can be part of the adventure in spirit.

Goal, $1,800– this amount includes round trip airfare by sea plane, and a guided tour.

Please help us on our Alaskan adventure to see the famous Brown Bears of Katmai National Park, as I feel this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and with your help we can make her dreams a reality.

We hope to leave after Mrs. Hodges school gets out at the end of  May 2017.
