Mrs. M's Kicking Cancer's Butt

Donation protected

Mrs. M is somebody that has touched many of us. Whether it was in her role as a friend, teacher, mother, or daughter, she has made an impact on many of our lives.

Her strong personality and her passion for living a fun and happy life is something that reflected in her interactions with everybody. She is somebody that always tried to make an impact, and a positive one. Mrs. M. puts herself out there on a daily basis to teach and nurture children that are not her own. She chose a career, a lifestyle that will forever impact others, one of her many selfless acts.

As she was spending her days impacting others, her body began to impact her. Mrs. M heard the words no one should ever hear, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Through the diagnosis and beginning of treatment she continues to impact others, especially her children in her class.  She works so hard to put a smile on everyone’s face while fighting for her life.

She will fight, she is strong. However, as she fights and when she finishes this fight, she will have to continue to fight for the rest of her life.

As we all know, it is a disease that affects millions, yet at this moment she feels alone. Her positive world is slowly starting to fall apart, along with her. As her treatments began, she knew she had to leave work. Her body couldn’t keep up with working, and she was practically bed-ridden. Her hair fell out, she lost her strength, and most importantly, she lost her smile.

As things slowly began to look up, her father came to visit her. He came in from Israel, and was ready to help out. Then, things took a turn for the worse, again. He came to America and ended up contracting West Nile and Pneumonia. He was taken to the hospital, and is still there today. Each day he is getting better, but each day is another challenge for Mrs. M.

The physical and emotional stress of this and the lack of energy to fight caused her to healing health to decline. Just as she was starting to get back to herself, she became worse.

Even after her horribly difficult 4th treatment of chemo, where she suffered so terribly she continues to find her place in this new life that was given to her.

She hasn’t been able to go to work much, she hasn’t been able to enjoy life, and most importantly, she hasn’t been able to smile. We would like to bring back her smile and bring back the Mrs. M. many of us have grown to love.

So much love and support has come through and questions of how people who love Mrs. M can help are asked daily.  Many people want to bring her food, but she is not hungry. Many people want to send her flowers, but they don't put a smile on her face right now.

We have created this page so that we have a way to show Mrs. M we are fighting along with her. Her medical bills from doctor appointments, x-rays, chemo, surgeries radiation, hospital stays, and her father's health are building. This page is a way we can help her in her fight. Give her one less bill to pay, one less worry as she fights for her life.

We are forever grateful to all of you. Those who took the time to read her story and those that gave any amount.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
