Murray Kyle - Phoenix Van Transport

Donation protected
Greetings. A couple of nights ago my vehicle was stolen from outside my house in the tiny village of Uki here in Australia, and unfortunately I did not have it covered by insurance (lesson learned the hard way). I posted the following words online the next morning, and had a huge response from people connected to me and my music who are able to contribute to me replacing my van, so here we go.  My infinite gratitude in advance for any contributions, and I will create some special live recordings to pass on to supporters.
.......................................................................................................................

Sometimes........... A wild card arrives at your doorstep, and the energy of this interconnected web that is constantly moving shifting and changing comes into contact with your own personal world in unexpected ways.
My trusty van of many years was stolen in Uki village on Friday 16th October, driven into Murwillumbah, and set ablaze.
There are many "why's" with no simple answers.... The uninitiated masculine youth in this western paradigm seeking to find the boundaries of authority and expression perhaps........part of the sickness and state of disease our culture has created......
Senseless action.
There is something I would like to give the guy who stole and destroyed my transport, and temporarily my livelihood as a carpenter and musician.

I would like to give him a prayer.

That the light from this fire you have lit enters your heart, and illuminates the darkness of ignorance that has guided your actions.

A prayer that the burning flames of my van be your initiation, in a culture that gave you none, so you may one day grow into a man that can give and not just take.

A prayer that the fires inside of you may somehow guide your way into a place of connection, where you discover that what we do to each other, we do to ourselves...... and where you also discover the powerful strength of loves presence.

The moral of this story is for me is : Lock all the doors on your car, take out fire & theft insurance, give thanks each day for all that you have to help you through this world, and don't get too attached to any of it.
Bless.
