Moving Truck/Trailer

Ryan and I have been married for nine years, and we have five children. He works for BNSF Railway, has for three years. We weren't aware of the possibility of furloughs, so we were surprised when it happened the winter of 2015. It happened again in 2016, but we made it. Furloghs are based on seniority, so Ryan got himself a class B CDL to build his seniority. It didn't work like we thought it would, and he's been furloughed since November of 2017. He worked one day at the beginning of May, and was bumped after one day by someone with more seniority. We realized this isn't working for us anymore. We didn't renew our lease since we couldn't pay the rent, and weren't sure when he'd be back to work (ends at the end of May). Ryan served six years in the Air Force prior to the BNSF job; he was given bad information about applying for VA disability, so he didn't. He talked to the local VA representative, and has applied, so hopefully that works out.
We decided to move back home so our family could support us more, and so he could use their networks to find work. In the meantime, a transfer position came up within BNSF to Wellington, KS. Our family live in the Wichita, KS area. He applied, flew down for the interview last week and should know by 5/16/18 if he got it. Regardless, we are getting the moving truck 5/21/18 so we don't have to be on the road around Memorial weekend. Our family might be able to help us, but I'm not for sure, and they've helped immensely so far. The moving truck and trailer we need is $982 before tax. Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated!
