Moving Mountains For Abby

The icy roads on the evening of February 5, 2019 was life changing for Abby Barnes. Abby was on I-80 when her Jeep lost control and rolled repeatedly down a steep ditch crashing into a tree.  Abby was ejected from the Jeep, which resulted in severe injuries to both knees, left ankle, pelvis and tailbone.  One the way to the hospital her ambulance hit ice and crashed, leaving her in the second accident for the day. Another ambulance came to get her to transport her to the hospital. Amazingly she survived both accidents.  

Abby had the first of her surgeries on February 7th to repair damages to her left leg and ankle . Next week she will move from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility for an undetermined amount of time. She will be unable to bear weight for six weeks but will have intense therapy. After six weeks, she will have the next surgery to repair the right leg. She will again be unable to walk.  She is hoping to be able to walk by summer. 

The inability to walk or bear weight will leave Abby unable to work for several months. Auto insurance covers minimal medical costs due to having liability insurance only.  A combination of not working and having medical bills pile up will bring on an extreme amount of stress on top of trying to recover from such extensive injuries. 

Please find it in your heart to give to someone who is so giving herself. Abby is the most kindhearted person you'd meet, so let's come together to raise money to help her pay for the countless medical bills that will be rolling in.  We're hoping in the end that everything will "bee ok".
