As a young adult, my love for movies has continued to grow as I become more mature. Like any person my age these days, I spent my days watching countless movie videos on YouTube from the best known YouTubers such as Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckmann, and Schmoes Know. My love of the movie industry had certainly increased, but I didn’t think that enjoyment would lead to anything. However, in October of 2016, I made the choice to move forward with my love of movies and create MovieBabble, a website for movie reviews and discussion.
At MovieBabble, my goal is to give you a casual discussion of movies that everyone can get involved in with their own discussion. What’s the point of talking about movies when we’re speaking on different wavelengths?
Striving to bring you a fun, interactive way of movie discussion, I do all sorts of film commentary such as reviews of new releases, timeless classics, and other movies requested by fans! In addition to reviews, I also take part in discussing movie news as well as create top ten lists and rankings of all different types of movies.
MovieBabble has become more than a hobby recently. At the start of 2017, I began to monetize my site, hoping to grow the MovieBabble brand. While things are going well from a content and readership perspective, it would be a great benefit to have more funds available to be able to market the site, which I currently cannot do as all my funds go towards actually seeing each movie to review.
My hope is that I can generate enough funds to start marketing the website on Google, Facebook, etc. on a pay-per-ad basis as to reach more viewers and discuss films that we all love and new ones that may turn into classics.
Every little bit helps towards my goal and it would mean the world to me as I strive to succeed in one of my passions in life. My ultimate goal is to one day be able to solely review films as a profession, so I would absolutely be grateful to anyone who gets me closer to my goal.
