Help rebuild and move the Philippines

Donation protected

The Philippines is struggling to recover from the strongest recorded typhoon ever to make landfall anywhere. More than 10,000 people are estimated to be dead. People have lost businesses, homes, houses and loved ones.

The city of Tacloban has been hit badly. The Philippine Department of Health reported that only ONE hospital is functioning in Tacloban and Palo. The Eastern Visayas Medical Center only has 250 beds and patients are being sent home as the hospital is overcrowded and understaffed. Some people have resorted into looting. There is no power, no supplies, only remnants of a nightmare that left several survivors existing on doomsday mentality. Most people have lost everything. EVERYTHING.

Here's an appeal for help. The funds raised on this page will be used to send send relief goods to the survivors of Supertyphoon Yolanda as a step in rebuilding the cities affected. Your generosity is much appreciated.

"Time to get to know the hardy Filipino people.:unbelievably resilient, long-suffering, good-natured, uber friendly, loyal, ingenious and a bunch of survivors. At the end of the day, the Filipinos will just shake off the dirt from their clothes and thongs, and go about their business:and SMILE. They do not complain much, they will bear as long as they can. Maybe this is why they were given the "˜privilege' of bearing the burden of the strongest typhoon ever recorded." -- CNN
