Amelia Mouse Piano

For three years Amelia has brought music and joy to crowds of all ages. She's been awarded three consecutive Editor's Choice awards at Maker Faire from 2015-17, appeared at several art and music events, and been to local schools to inspire children in science.

I've been overjoyed to bring Amelia out whenever I can, but over the years it's taken a toll. The piano has held up marvelously for being 90+ years old, but  through numerous tunings, moving, and multiple 8 hour days at play, the mechanics and strings have started to show their age. At least year's Maker Faire she popped a string during tuning, and could really benefit from a teardown, deep clean, restring, and resurfacing of the wood.

Professional restringing is costly, but without it the current strings will continue to degrade with each performance until she's unplayable.

I could use the funds to purchase a new piano, but then I'd have to convert that one and start the process over again. I'd like to retain as much of this piano as I can.

I appreciate all the support from my friends and followers, and look forward to many more years with Amelia, hopefully taking her across the country, and perhaps the world.
