Alexanders Motorcycle Accident

Donation protected
The beautiful girl you see above was Lagertha my dream bike. She is a 2006 Yamaha R6.

If I make it to my goal I hope to fix up my car. Remaining funds will help find a replacement bike to replace her and most certainly to install a GPS unit to ensure I find it if stolen again. (Motorcycle parking is $130 annually as opposed to 1k on campus D=)

This past Monday 17 Oct I was involved in an accident when a SUV turned left in front of me that resulted in a collision. The collision threw my from my bike and I was unconscious prior to the EMT’s arrival. I suffered dislocated and fractured ribs and shoulder and a concussion. While in the hospital my bike was left at the scene. However when my friends arrived to move the bike for me it was no longer there. The police and insurance do not have possession of the bike and has been reported stolen and insurance will not cover this loss even though the other drive was cited for failure to yield.

This news was incredibly hard to take as my motorcycle was my only mode of transportation. Even harder still after saving up for over a year and trading in my beloved cafe racer to purchase . The dream motorcycle that I had only just purchased two weeks ago. Lagertha wasn't just a mode of transportation for me however. Riding was a great way for me to unwind through group rides, going 2 up with my girlfriend to see views of the city and simply getting away. To me, this loss is incredibly personal.

For now I am focusing on finishing my degree in hopes that someone finds the bike while I continue to heal.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
